Solar Village Project Sales and Finance Transition Pilot Project

Under this project, researchers are trying to gather information for a planned organizational transition from charitable giving model to a sales/financed based model. For this Morsel is carrying out the field work which involves selling 25 solar lanterns in cash and 25 lanterns to be financed. This is done so that financial feasibility of solar can be measured and scalable social enterprise business model can be generated. This is carried out in Bahraich district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
